PROHIBITED ITEMS IN THE CABIN
For safety reasons, the following items are prohibited in the aircraft cabin and in security restricted areas:
A. Light firearms, firearms and other devices that launch projectiles designed to cause serious injury by launching a projectile or that can be mistaken for such devices.
- 1. Firearms of all types, including pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns.
- 2. Toy firearms, replicas and imitations of firearms that can be mistaken for real firearms.
- 3. Parts of firearms, excluding telescopic sights.
- 4. Compressed air and carbon dioxide weapons, including pistols, pellet guns, fuse guns and spherical pellet guns
- 5. Pistols for flares and starters
- 6. Bows, crossbows and arrows
- 7. Harpoons and spears
- 8. Slings or slingshots and catapults.
B. Stunning devices specifically designed to stun or immobilize.
- 1.Devices to cause concussion, such as electric fenders and electric batons.
- 2. Stun machines for stunning and killing animals.
- 3. Disabling and incapacitating chemicals, gases and aerosols, such as mace, dry pepper or chili sprays, acid sprays, animal repellents and tear gas.
C. Sharp-edged or pointed objects that can be used to cause serious injury.
- 1. Cutting and chopping objects, such as axes, hatchets, and cleavers.
- 2. Ice axes and ice picks
- 3. Razors, utility knives
- 4. Knives with blades longer than 6 cm.
- 5. Scissors with blades longer than 6 cm measured from the fulcrum.
- 6. Martial arts equipment with pointed objects or sharp edges
- 7. Swords and sabers
D. Work tools that can be used to cause serious injury or to threaten the operational safety of the aircraft.
- 1. Iron crowbars.
- 2. Drills and augers, which include portable electric drills.
- 3. Tools with blades or shafts longer than 6 cm that can be used as a weapon, such as screwdrivers, chisels, etc.
- 4. Saws, including portable electric saws.
- 5. Torches
- 6. Tightening of tire nuts and pneumatic guns.
E. Blunt instruments that can be used to cause serious injury by striking.
- 1. Baseball and softball bats
- 2. Batons and clubs, such as truncheons, nightsticks and spikes.
- 3. Martial arts equipment.
F. Explosives and flammable substances and devices that can be used to cause serious injury or threaten the operational safety of the aircraft.
- 1. Munitions
- 2. Explosives
- 3. Detonators and fuses
- 4. Replicas or imitations of explosive devices.
- 5. Mines, grenades and other military explosive articles.
- 6. Pyrotechnic materials, including fireworks.
- 7. Cartridges or other fumigant containers
- 8. Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.
